Staff from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office - National Capital Region (NCR) personally visited the "ground zero" or scene of the fire that occurred last night at Pulong Kendi, Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig City this Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

The onsite monitoring was conducted by DSWD-NCR after they visited the Taguig Integrated School to distribute aid to fire victims.

The school is serving as an evacuation site for approximately 350 families affected by the fire.

"The aim of the monitoring is to assess the extent of the damage and identify the necessary interventions for the affected residents. Currently, the Taguig City LGU is continuously conducting validation and assessment to determine the exact number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)," said DSWD-NCR in their social media page statement.

DSWD-NCR is also coordinating with the Local Government of Taguig to ensure timely, orderly, and sufficient aid is given to the fire victims.
