"We remind everyone to keep your electrical appliances safe to avoid such incidents," Barangay Bagumbayan posted on their Facebook Page. This statement was made despite the fact that the results of the investigation into whether an electrical problem caused the fire have not yet been finalized.

The fire victims were taken to an evacuation center and visited by Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano to offer assistance.

In Cayetano's post on her Facebook Page, she asked for prayers for the eight families affected by the fire.

"We have managed to provide financial aid to all the victims, while DSWD has also distributed hygiene kits and food boxes. Thanks to the teamwork of BFP and other frontliners, barangay officials and staff, City officials and staff, other agency partners, and even the neighbors who helped put out the fire," Cayetano posted.
