After being arrested in a hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, Alice Guo was fetched by Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos and Philippine National Police Chief General Rommel Marbil. They brought Guo back to the Philippines on a chartered flight.
Upon arrival, Guo was taken straight to Camp Crame in Quezon City, and then turned over to the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate.
Guo has an arrest warrant from the Senate and another from a court in Capas, Tarlac due to charges of violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
It is said that Guo left the country for Malaysia on July 17, 2024. She was then arrested in Indonesia on September 4, 2024.
