Wilfredo "Willie" Gonzales, the 63-year-old former policeman who went viral, has a pending case at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, which was not served before he was officially dismissed from service in 2018.
Relevant details about Gonzales, the man seen driving a red car and filmed by a netizen pulling out a gun and cocking it at a cyclist he had a road dispute with, reveal that he has an unserved 122-day suspension from police service related to his case with the number RN031015265A.
It was also found out that he has frequently been reported in their barangay in Quirino 3-A, Quezon City for allegedly picking fights and bullying.
Due to the viral video of Gonzales hurting and cocking a gun at a cyclist along Quezon Avenue, Quezon City, he has been dismissed from his job at the office of Associate Justice Ricardo Rosario of the Supreme Court starting August 27, 2023.
According to the statement of Rosario's office, they do not condone any form of violence or abusive behavior.
The Land Transportation Office or LTO has also suspended Gonzales' driving license for 90 days while the agency investigates his case.
Gonzales' gun license, including his permit to carry it, has been revoked, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Firearms and Explosives Office Chief Paul Kenneth Lucas. Four firearms were seized from Gonzales on August 28.
