The injured individual has been identified as Julio Vasquez, owner of the house located at Block 6 Lot 16 Gumamela Street, Barangay Pembo, Taguig City.
Three houses were affected by the fire, in which the first house accommodated five families, the second housed four families, and the third one family.
The fire started at about 3:00 AM last Tuesday and was quickly extinguished by 3:19 AM. However, due to the rapid spread of the fire, two of the houses were completely burned down, with the affected families unable to salvage any belongings. The third house was not entirely burned.
The Bureau of Fire Protection-Taguig stated that the cause of the fire is still being investigated. However, they advised everyone to be extra vigilant, especially concerning electrical equipment and home electrical wiring installations.
Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano visited the victims and provided assistance through the City Social Welfare Department.
