PISTON and MANIBELA's transport strike is a protest against the Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP).
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) stated their plan to reopen the consolidation process for drivers and operators who missed the deadline last April 30. According to the LTFRB, about 80% of the drivers and operators have already joined the jeepney modernization program.
