Barangay Pinagsama explained that internet companies failed to present clearance or permission to install their cables on Meralco poles, causing the delay in the reinstallation of their lines.

Captain Vhyc Mortel told Taguig.com that she is requesting for an RTA or Request to Attach, which an internet service provider should ask from Meralco, as they intend to attach their cables to Meralco poles.

"They won't put up their own poles, in short, they will attach to Meralco. Every time a wire is attached to Meralco, it is required to have an RTA," Mortel explained.

A Smart-PLDT Incorporated (SPI) pole fell in EP Housing Village Phase 1 recently, damaging some motorcycles.

Since the pole cannot be re-erected, the affected cables of the internet service providers will be installed on Meralco poles but Mortel stated that they need to secure permission from Meralco first to proceed.

This is to ensure that there is no overbundling of cables, which could result in the potential collapse of poles or explosion of power wires.
