A newly identified High-Value Individual (HVI) suspected of distributing illegal drugs, specifically methamphetamine (Shabu), was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lower Bicutan on the evening of June 19, 2026.

Over ₱350,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were confiscated by the personnel of Taguig City Police Station from the 33-year-old known as Norodin at around 7:40 PM on Dalampasigan Street, Barangay Lower Bicutan.

Norodin, a security guard and resident of Parañaque City, was apprehended by the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Taguig City Police, in an operation coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Seized from Norodin were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white, crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.

Weighing 51.5 grams, the seized drugs have an estimated value of ₱350,200.00.

Norodin is set to face charges for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In a statement, Police Brig. General Glenn Oliver C. Cinco, Southern Police District Director, said, "The interception of a high-value individual and the recovery of a substantial volume of illicit narcotics demonstrate the steady focus of our localized enforcement units to disrupt drug distribution networks. We will continue to aggressively target those who attempt to traffic dangerous drugs within our jurisdiction. The Southern Police District remains fully committed to maintaining this operational pressure to preserve the peace and safety of our neighborhoods."
