A chase ensued from Barangay Wawa to Barangay San Miguel, Taguig City resulting in the arrest of two men after they fled from authorities who intended to apprehend them upon noticing one of them carrying a gun while on a motorcycle on January 25, 2025.

The suspects have been identified as an alias Joel, 36 years old, a delivery man and an alias Christian, 31 years old, who were caught by the police near Serenity Cemetery in Barangay San Miguel.

The arrest of the two began when the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit (TMRU) spotted a gun tucked into the waist of alias Christian while riding a Honda PCX 160 motorcycle and traversing MLQ Street in Barangay Wawa.

The two suspects fled towards Barangay San Miguel as the authorities were about to approach them.

The TMRU called for the help of Substation 9 police to chase the suspects until they were cornered near the cemetery.

Authorities confiscated a .357 gun without a serial number and three bullets.

Additionally, two heat-sealed transparent sachets containing a suspected 9.1-gram substance of shabu worth an estimated ₱61,880 were also seized from the two.

Their motorcycle was also impounded as evidence.

The confiscated drugs were handed over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for further examination.

The two will face charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and Republic Act 7166 (Omnibus Election Code).
