Two storms are likely to form or enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) next week, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The first low pressure area is expected to form east of Luzon and enter the PAR by the end of this week or Monday, moving northeast. Once formed, the storm will be named Ferdie.
This will intensify the southwest monsoon, although it is not expected to make landfall.
The second low pressure area, on the other hand, is expected to form near Guam. It will move westward and enter the PAR as a storm. This storm will be named Gener, but there is a low chance of it making landfall.
However, PAGASA has stated that the movements of the storms may still change.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Enteng, or Typhoon Yagi, has moved away from the Philippines while growing stronger. Enteng has wind speeds of 195 km/hr and gusts of up to 240 km/hr.
It enhances the southwest monsoon, causing continued rainfall in Metro Manila and provinces in Luzon.
