The low pressure area located in Bataan has developed into a typhoon, now identified as Typhoon Henry.
According to DOST-PAGASA, the center of the typhoon is about 115 kilometers west-southwest of Abucay, Bataan. It is carrying winds with an average speed of 45 km/h near the center, and gusts reaching up to 55 km/h.
The typhoon is moving northwest at a speed of 25 km/h.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal Number 1 has been raised in: southwest Zambales (San Antonio, Castillejos, Subic, Olongapo City), the western part of Bataan (Morong, Bagac, Mariveles), and the Lubang Islands.
Heavy rainfall is expected to hit Luzon due to Typhoon Henry and the Southwest Monsoon.
It is projected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning, July 2, 2026.
