The 165 Chinese nationals who were detained at the Bureau of Immigration Detention Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City have been deported. They were arrested in an illegal gambling and scamming facility in Bamban, Tarlac last March.

On the morning of May 14, 2024, the foreigners arrested by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) during a raid on a facility in Bamban were flown out of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. The name of the town mayor, Alice Guo, was implicated in the incident.

In addition to their involvement in scamming, it was discovered that the foreigners did not have travel documents and some had overstayed their permitted time in the country.

Two of the foreigners did not join the group deported by the BI as they are currently facing cases in the country.

The deported Chinese nationals boarded a Philippine Airlines flight bound for Pudong, China.
