A 23-year-old man facing two cases of child rape was arrested in Barangay Palingon-Tipas, Taguig on June 2, 2026.

In a manhunt operation conducted by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), the male suspect was arrested following the release of a warrant of arrest against him on May 11, 2026.

The suspect is facing two cases of Statutory Rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 11648, in addition to a violation of Republic Act 8353, related to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act).

No bail was recommended against the suspect, hence, temporary freedom will not be granted.

The suspect is currently detained in Taguig City Police Station.

"The arrest of one of our region's most wanted individuals sends a clear message: there is no safe haven for criminals in Metro Manila, especially those accused of crimes against children. The NCRPO will remain relentless in tracking down high-value targets to support the courts and ensure that those who exploit the vulnerable face the full force of the law," said Police Major General Anthony A. Aberin, the chief of NCRPO.
