According to the Department of Health (DOH), they have recorded thirty-four cases of illnesses related to heat, six of which resulted in fatalities.
These records were captured by the DOH Event-based Surveillance and Response (ESR) system from January 1 to April 18, 2024.

The reported cases originate from the regions of Central Visayas, Ilocos, and Soccsksargen.
The highest number of cases of illnesses due to heat was recorded in 2023, with 513 affected individuals.
