The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed they were only fighting for their right to rebuild their houses after a part of Sitio Pusawan was burned down.
"Ma'am, what the police said about not allowing both sides to move was discussed with the local officials, the guards, and the captain. According to the guards, five families per week would be allowed to rebuild their homes. However, we have been waiting for two months for DMCI's supposed support. Unfortunately, they did not fulfill their promise, so we acted on our own and started rebuilding simultaneously. Some couldn't join us because they lacked materials and did not have enough budget," the resident narrated.
However, when asked if there was any written agreement, the resident could not provide any.
