Taguig is the first among local government units to implement the Reset Alcohol Project, which promotes policies with proven solutions to issues related to alcohol use, such as road accidents, domestic and public violence, health risks, and unsafe environments endangering youth.

Mayor Cayetano states that this agreement strengthens the initiatives already being implemented by the City Government to protect the health and welfare of Taguig residents.

"Today marks an important step in our continuing commitment to protect public health and strengthen the well-being of every Taguigeño family. We are honored that Taguig has been chosen as one of the pioneering local government units in the Philippines to implement this initiative alongside organizations that have dedicated themselves to advancing health and safety."

The mayor emphasized the need for policies to address the negative effects of alcohol in communities.

"Across many communities, alcohol-related harm continues to affect families, workplaces, schools, and public spaces. We see its impact on road safety, on violence and injury prevention, on the health of individuals, and on the future of young people who deserve safe environments where they can grow and thrive."

The agreement will also strengthen the implementation of Ordinance No. 06 concerning the prohibition of public drinking and consumption of intoxicating substances.

Under the agreement, public awareness campaigns, enforcement planning, and capacity-building programs will be implemented for city government offices.

ImagineLaw will also provide legal and technical assistance for alcohol prevention ordinances.
