In a press conference held by Kursh in Taguig City, she praised the courage and kindness of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

She expressed disbelief that two of the casualties - Angelyn Aguirre, who died on October 7, 2023, in Kibbutz Kfar Aza and Mary Anne Velazquez De Vera, who died in Tel Aviv on March 1, 2026 - both hailed from Pangasinan.

The two deceased Filipinas, along with two other caregivers and one nurse who also tragically died at the hands of Hamas, were all faithfully fulfilling their duties when they were killed.

It is estimated that there are currently 30,000 Filipinos living in Israel.
