Applications for the scholarship will close on February 21, 2025, so interested students are urged to apply online swiftly at: https://tgs.moe.gov.sg

Filipino students who are in Grade 9 or higher levels, born between January 2, 2009, and January 1, 2012, proficient in English, perform exceptionally in academics, and have a good record in co-curricular activities are eligible to apply for the ASEAN Scholarship.

"Students will have opportunities to broaden their horizons and develop important skills such as leadership, communication and other life skills. They can also help promote goodwill and understanding among young people from different countries and Singapore," stated the Singapore Ministry of Education.

The scholarship covers four years of study, from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2 (Grade 9-12), leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level certificate or an equivalent qualification.

It is renewed annually, depending on the student's academic performance in Singaporean schools.

The scholarship covers:
* Annual allowance with hostel accommodation
* Settling-in allowance
* Return economy airfare
* School fees
* Examination fees for GCE O-Level and A-Level (one-time payment)
* Medical benefits and insurance cover for accidents.

Shortlisted applicants will be informed a week before the selection test, which could be held in March of this year.

The selection tests may be conducted in Cebu and Manila.

The target to conduct the selection interviews is set for April of this year.

In May 2025, the scholarship will be awarded to the accepted Filipino students, and by November of the same year, they are expected to be flown to Singapore as ASEAN Scholarship recipients.
