The solar energy project at the British School Manila (BSM) located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City has been inaugurated, marking a significant step for the school in environmental conservation and the long-term usage of natural energy sources.

Energy Utilization Management Bureau Director Patrick Aquino expressed gratitude for BSM's initiative to reduce its carbon footprint by utilizing solar energy.

During the signing of the partnership between the Department of Energy and BSM last September, the Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act was instated as part of daily life. BSM ensured its full support through the supply of solar power to its BGC campus, starting with a 99.76 kwp system in 2023.

Meanwhile, 27 high school students and teachers from the Blessed Hope Christian Academy visited the Department of Energy - Consumer Welfare and Promotional Office (DOE-CWPO) as part of the Energy Smart Kids or EnerKids Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaign.

The students were educated about the work of the Energy Department and were shown the Energy Cycle video, aside from touring its laboratory.

In addition, 15 Grade 6 students and teachers from the Hope Christian High School also visited to meet with experts from the Renewable Energy Management Bureau and Energy Utilization Management Bureau - Dedicated Electric Vehicle Office.
