Recently, Makati City shut down daycare centers in EMBO barangays and removed their equipment, according to a statement released by the city government of Taguig.

They said the closure of the daycare centers was done without prior notice, but this will not cause a disruption to the education and care of the children from EMBO who attend these centers.

In response, the city government of Taguig and the Department of Education Division of Taguig and Pateros cooperated to ensure the continued attendance of the children starting February 5, 2024.

The Taguig city government stated that the closest public elementary schools will temporarily serve as daycare centers in the EMBO barangays.

Those affected by the two daycare center closures in Barangay Cembo will be moved to Cembo Elementary School on Acacia Street. Two in Barangay Comembo will be transferred to Comembo Elementary School on Lanzones Street.

Affected students from Barangay East Rembo CDC and Bahay Bulilit will be moved to East Rembo Elementary School on National Road, Barangay East Rembo.

For those affected by the three daycare center closures in Barangay Pembo, children will temporarily attend Pembo Elementary School on Escarlata Street.

Those affected by the closure of two daycare centers in Barangay Pitogo will be moved to Pitogo Elementary School on Jacinto corner Cebu Street.

Those affected by the most daycare center closures, in Barangay Rizal where five were shut down, will be temporarily transferred to Rizal Elementary School on Milkweed Street.

Students affected by closures in Barangay South Cembo will be moved to South Cembo Elementary School on General Luna Street.

Those affected by the closure of two daycare centers in Barangay Post Proper Southside will be moved to Barangay Post Proper Southside Daycare Center on Scorpion Street and the Barangay Hall on Fox Street in Palar Village.

Those affected by a daycare center closure in Barangay West Rembo will be temporarily moved to West Rembo Elementary School on 21st Street.

The city government of Taguig is also ready to provide free transportation for children whose new daycare center is far from their homes.

The city government of Taguig has prepared school uniforms and school supplies for the children affected by the closure of daycare centers in EMBO barangays.
