A curfew is currently in effect in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, following a gang riot involving teenagers that occurred on Ipil-Ipil Street in the said barangay on August 2, 2025.

Barangay Councilor Aldrin Fermin told Taguig.com that barangay personnel patrol the area at night to ensure safety and peace in their community.

Barangay Councilor Nickson Paguirigan further clarified on Taguig.com that the curfew only applies to minors.

Taguig City Police Substation 12 responded to a 911 call on the evening of August 2, 2025, regarding a report of teens causing a disturbance on Ipil-Ipil Street. Surveillance footage revealed rival youth groups, True Brown Style 13 (TBS) from Bicol Drive and another group from 5th Street, VP Cruz, brawling around 8:30 PM.

Col. Byron Allatog, the officer-in-charge of Taguig police, visited the barangay to dialogue with the minors involved in the unrest, as well as their parents.

The Taguig Police were able to mediate between the feuding groups and reminded them of the potential legal and community consequences of their actions.

The minors involved in the disturbance were turned over to the Taguig City Social Welfare and Development Office for counseling and intervention.

The Taguig Police assured that they will continue to coordinate with barangay officials to identify other gangs and fraternities present in their barangay.

The Taguig Police also urged parents to closely monitor their children and guide them away from negative influences.

"Remember: ignorance of the law excuses no one. Let's work together to keep our youth safe and accountable. Report incidents through our official hotlines," stated the Taguig City Police.
