DILG Proposes Vehicle Parking Ban on Metro Manila Streets from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Metro Manila Mayors Seek to Issue Individual Ordinances | Taguig News

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla proposes a ban on street parking in Metro Manila from 5:00 in the morning until 10:00 in the evening to help alleviate traffic congestion.



Meanwhile, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairperson Romando Artes suggests prohibiting street-side parking only during morning and evening rush hours.

The Metro Manila Mayors, on the other hand, express their desire to issue their individual ordinances.

These suggestions were presented during a meeting among the Metro Manila Mayors, DILG, MMDA, and the Philippine National Police on August 1, 2025.
