According to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), their personnel have arrested "Angel Acob" or "Panga," the Number One Top Regional Most Wanted Person following a tip about his whereabouts.

An operation was conducted at 3:00 p.m. on December 28, 2025, where "Angel Acob" was arrested in Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
Authorities found out that "Angel Acob" is a financier and member of the John Roll De Guzman Criminal Gang, a notorious criminal group involved in carjacking, illegal drug trafficking, and illegal gambling operating within the jurisdiction of the Southern Police District (SPD).
"The successful operation was led by the Anti-Criminality and Special Operations - Regional Intelligence Division (ACS-RID), NCRPO, under the supervision of Police Major Jonathan Frial, in close coordination with the Rapid Deployment Battalion (RDB), 83rd Special Action Company (SAC), Manila District Intelligence Team (MDIT), RIU-NCR, Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS), Taguig CPS, Station Intelligence Section (SIS), Taguig CPS, and Sub-Station 9, Taguig CPS," NCRPO stated.
The suspect had warrants of arrest issued by Judge Miriam Guzon Bien, Presiding Judge of Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153, since April 4, 2025, for the following charges:
* Murder, under Article 248, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, docketed as Criminal Case No. 9534, with no bail recommended; and
* Attempted Murder, under Article 248, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, docketed as Criminal Case No. 9535, with bail set at Php 120,000.00.
In addition, "Angel Acob" is also the prime suspect in a murder on C-6 Road, Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, on December 7, 2025.
The suspect, along with three others, repeatedly shot the victim, who wasn't able to fight back, until he died.
The suspect is now in police custody at the ACS-RID custodial facility.
Police Brig. General Randy Arceo, District Director of the SPD, praised the successful operation.
"This successful operation demonstrates our strong commitment to bring fugitives to justice. The Southern Police District will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations to ensure that those who threaten peace and security will be held accountable under the law," Arceo stated.
