In a video released by Barangay Captain Sonny Vertulfo of Fort Bonifacio, he reported that the water levels in the said street and surrounding areas rose due to heavy rainfall.
However, the floodwaters subsided quickly due to the frequent cleaning and declogging efforts by the barangay volunteers, the City Government of Taguig, and the Flood Management Office (FMO). These efforts are focused on maintaining the creeks, canals, and other water channels in the area.
"This initiative is a significant step in accelerating the receding of floodwaters, reducing risk to the community, and ensuring the safety and welfare of all residents. Your dedication and prompt action contribute greatly to hastening the decrease in flood levels, safeguarding the safety of our residents, and maintaining order in our barangay," Vertulfo stated.
