The oath-taking ceremony was led by Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Dave Gomez at the Malacañang Palace.
"Former Mayor Cayetano brings with him a rare wealth of experience from the media, private, and the public sectors that would certainly take PTV-4 to greater heights in our ever-evolving multi-media landscape," Gomez said in a statement.
Cayetano served as a Congressman during the 13th Congress and was mayor of Taguig from 2019 to 2022.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of the Philippines and received a Diploma in Film from the New York Film Academy in 1999.
Cayetano has directed primetime shows on the country's three major television stations, in addition to producing and directing films.
Cayetano succeeds Malou Fagar as General Manager of PTV-4.
