Interested applicants for the contest must visit their respective barangay offices for the initial screening and endorsement process.
The criteria for participation include:
1. Being a current resident of Taguig
2. Having at least one Filipino parent
3. Being a high school graduate, currently in college, or a college graduate
4. Being female at birth
5. Age 18 or older (or turning 18 by the time of the pageant)
6. Married women and single mothers are eligible to participate
Applicants are required to submit basic information, proof of residence in Taguig, and a recent photograph to their barangay office.
The application period runs from March 23, 2026, to April 6, 2026.
"Step onto this platform to become a muse of change, empower and inspire women, and share your vision with the community," states the 'Mutya ng Taguig' social media page.
In 2025, the title of 'Mutya ng Taguig' was won by Krisha Enaje from Barangay Hagonoy.
The 1st Runner-Up was Aleckxis Maryannza Chuidian from Barangay Fort Bonifacio, 2nd Runner-Up was Estephanie Gaebrielle Ladignon from Barangay Katuparan, 3rd Runner-Up was Yumiq Jam Melad from Barangay Rizal, and 4th Runner-Up was Alyanna Ysabel Virtudazo from Barangay Tanyag.
