The former Commanding General of the Philippine Army has been selected as the new Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
General Antonio Nafarette has succeeded General Romeo Brawner, Jr.
Nafarette is an alumnus of West Visayas State University and a graduate from the Philippine Military Academy - "Bigkis Lahi" Class of 1990.
He has also served as the Commander of the Western Mindanao Command.
Meanwhile, the new Commanding General of the Philippine Army is Lt. General Donald Gumiran.
He studied at the U.S. Army War College and is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy - Tanglaw Diwa Class of 1992.
Gumiran has also commanded the Western Mindanao Command.
