New International Boxing Federation (IBF) Super Featherweight champion, Pfc. Charly Suarez of the Philippine Army (PA) paid a courtesy visit to the Army Headquarters at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on May 6, 2024.
Suarez extended his gratitude to Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy Galido for the PA's continuous support, particularly during his latest bout.
Suarez bested his Mexican-American opponent Luis Coria through an eight-round unanimous decision in Texas on April 13, 2024.
Suarez maintains an unblemished record of 16 wins, no losses, and 9 knock-outs.

* IBO Inter-Continental Super Featherweight title
* WBA Oceania Super Featherweight title
* WBC Asian Boxing Council Super Featherweight title

As an amateur boxer, Suarez represented the Philippines in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil.
