The Department of Health has already reported 2,500 cases of measles nationwide, with 1,600 of these cases originating from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

UNICEF will assist in purchasing 1 million doses of the measles vaccine for the BARMM, with another million doses to be allocated for the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the city government of Taguig urges parents and caregivers to bring children to the nearest health center for vaccination, or to learn the schedule of mobile vaccination services in their area. It is also necessary to prepare the child's immunization record or Baby Book.
