Over 2,000 Taguig City children will receive nutritious food daily for two years, under an agreement between Taguig City, MyTaxi.ph or Grab Philippines, and Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAPH).

The 2,178 children are from selected Child Development Centers (CDC) in Barangay Upper Bicutan, Central Bicutan, Bagong Tanyag, North Daang Hari, and South Daang Hari.

Under the program, children from Taguig City will receive fortified rice-soy meal supplementation daily, aimed at improving their nutritional status, particularly during their growing years.

The initiative also includes nutrition education, capacity-building activities for volunteers and staff, and the community-based nutrition support system.

Rise Against Hunger Philippines executive director Jose Mariano Flera, in their signing with the City Government of Taguig on May 15, 2026, said their organization has long been a partner of the local government unit.

"Starting in 2017, Taguig has been our long-time partner. Here, some of our feeding programs, food bank initiatives, and community gardens started, which later became models for other cities in the country. Taguig has helped a lot because it paved the way for us to expand our movement to different communities in the Philippines."

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano thanked the partners in this noble objective for the health welfare of the children of Taguig.

"Today, we celebrate a beautiful partnership grounded in care, shared responsibility, and hope for our children's future. We are truly proud that here in the City of Taguig, we put real care and attention into the nutrition of our children. In fact, Taguig currently records the lowest stunting rate in the National Capital Region at 2%. This partnership inspires us to do even more because we know we are no longer doing this alone. We thank Grab Philippines and Rise Against Hunger Philippines for joining us in this mission for healthier and brighter futures for our young Taguigeños."

Witnesses to the signing included Second District Representative Jorge Bocobo, Executive Assistant for Health Dr. Cecille Montales, City Health Officer Dr. Susana Amiscua, CSWDO head Nikki Rose Operario, Councilors Rodil "Tikboy" Marcelino and Atty. Darwin Icay, along with MyTaxi.ph Public Affairs Managers Ma. Roxxane Lu and Atty. Marien Lucenario, and Rise Against Hunger Philippines Chief Nutritionist and M&E Officer Rolando Yu.
