This is in addition to the P18,000 in tuition assistance that the City of Taguig provides to public elementary school graduates who wish to continue their studies at its partner private high schools.

The P10,000 allowance is intended to cover additional school expenses for TLC scholars.

During the scholarship allowance distribution, Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano emphasized the importance of students nurturing wisdom, goodness, and respect for others.

"I hope that you become role models for other young people. I want that when children your age in your community see you, you are a good example of excellent, responsible, and respectful young people," said Cayetano.

Joshua Bibit, a seventh-grade student at HSL Braille College, thanked the city for the TLC scholarship, saying it greatly helps his family's financial situation. He said his parents no longer have to scramble to afford school supplies.

Macxeen Tatualla of Bicutan Parochial School also expressed gratitude towards the Taguig City government for the significant support they are providing to students like him.

"I can say that Taguig is the best city in the country because it places great value on the education of its youth," said Tatualla.
