The 329 soldiers of the Philippine Army (PA), part of the stand-by force at their headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, are prepared to assist in maintaining peace and security for the election on May 12, 2025.

The PA's contingency force includes teams from Civil Disturbance Management (CDM), K-9, Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD), Medical, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) units.

There are also 31 military assets on standby, including military trucks and ambulances, ready in case of emergencies. All Philippine Army Emergency Response Companies (ERCs) have been on Blue Alert Status from May 11 until 14, 2025.

A total of 23,591 PA personnel have been deployed to oversee the elections, while another 21,509 have been on standby alert since May 9, 2025.

"Army units are also operating under dual modes: Election Mode and Combat Mode to ensure the continuity of both electoral duties and ongoing internal security operations," the PA statement reads.

Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy Galido assured the public that they will maintain the country's stability "by continuing our operations against threat groups while also assisting with the transport of poll materials and ensuring the safety of election personnel."
