Senator Migz Zubiri announced that Villanueva is the 13th member of their bloc.

Prior to this, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano declared in his live Facebook stream yesterday, June 16, 2026, that "If they're now thirteen, congratulations! We know how you got it - through intimidation, bribery."
Yesterday, Cayetano and his group filed a petition with the Supreme Court, although neither Villanueva nor Senator Mark Villar were part of the petitioners.
The petition relates to the Cayetano bloc's request to invalidate the June 3 Senate Session, in which Senator Sherwin Gatchalian was installed as the Senate President Pro Tempore or Acting Senate President.
