The Southern Police District (SPD) has confirmed the initial statement of the Taguig City Police that no foul play was detected in the deaths of two female students from Signal Village National High School following their autopsies.

The two friends, Irish, 13, and Mary, 15, were found hanged by school security around eleven in the evening on November 10 in the Girl Scouts of the Philippines office located on the third floor of the Magsaysay Building of the school in Barangay Central Signal, Taguig City.

According to the Taguig Police report, a student named Danielle, 16 years old, was the last to see the two girls alive around 7:45 in the evening on November 10. The girls told her they were going home.

It was learned that there was a Boy Scouts camping event at the school at that time, hence students were still present within the school premises that night. However, Danielle noticed through their messenger group that the two girls did not reach home, causing her to search for them.

Danielle found the victims with a rope around their necks, hanging from the metal grill of the Girl Scouts office, already lifeless. Danielle alerted the school's security guards immediately who then cut the ropes and called the Taguig police, according to the witness' statement.
