Barangay Hagonoy was flooded amidst heavy rain brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat.
"Despite the threat of disaster, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Search and Rescue (SAR) Team, along with Barangay emergency responders team, continue to carry out search and rescue operations. Families and individuals affected by the flood in their area were transported to the evacuation area on rescue lifeboats," stated the Taguig City Government.
Rescuers are persuading affected residents to evacuate and head to the nearest evacuation centers for their safety.
