Major Hazel Asilo, spokesperson for the National Capital Region Police Office, stated that Goforth's administrative relief was implemented while an investigation into 7 personnel from the mentioned substation is taking place. It remains unclear when this administrative relief will end.

The seven police officers, including two reinforcement officers and the commander of Taguig City Police Substation 5, have been temporarily relieved of their duties while under investigation for abuse of power.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident went viral on social media, where a police officer was seen showing a piece of paper to an elderly person, allegedly a warrantless arrest which the elderly woman questioned due to the absence of a judge's signature.

Moreover, the elderly woman, the mother of two young men, and the aforementioned arrested teens were reported to have been harmed by the police.

"Actions that violate police operational procedures and the rights of our citizens will not be tolerated, and appropriate sanctions will be imposed," said Marbil.

"As law enforcers, we are duty-bound to uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of every individual," he added.
