The ongoing immunization efforts, programs for mothers and youth health, mental health screenings, and newborn screenings of the city government of Taguig have been recognized by the Department of Health (DOH) in recent program implementation review conferences of the department.

Taguig City is one of only two local government units (LGU) in the Philippines invited to a global meeting to showcase its exemplary work related to the National Immunization Program.

Taguig was acknowledged as an Immunization Champion because its vaccination program has reached every neighborhood in the city. Taguig has become a benchmark for other LGUs when the program was expanded to the subnational level.

Further, the DOH recognized the Taguig City Health Office with the following honors: a Certificate of Recognition for reaching the 85% target of the program for Category 2 and 3 animal bite cases.

Taguig City Health Office also received a Certificate of Recognition for implementing the National Safe Motherhood Program and the Adolescent Health Development Program.

The city government of Taguig won in the Access to Essential Medicine Category for the National Safe Motherhood Program and Adolescent Health Development Program.

It was also given the Rising Star Award for the Mental Health Program. There is also a Certificate of Commendation for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health.

The city government's Newborn Screening Program was recognized as Best in Practices and Innovations and Best Gallery Presentation.

Meanwhile, the Drug Output Program was awarded the Best Audio Visual Presentation.

The city government, under the leadership of Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, has ensured the ongoing implementation of excellent programs and projects that ensure the well-being of every Taguigeño.
