The Taguig Little Generals emerged victorious against Thailand in their debut game in the 2026 Little League Baseball Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Tournament held in South Korea.

In their match yesterday, June 27, 2026, the Taguig Little Generals' 14-and-under team, representing the Philippines, defeated Thailand with a score of 11-3.

The Taguig Little Generals will be competing in the said international baseball tournament until July 3, 2026.

The Taguig Little Generals earned the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the international baseball tournament by defeating Ilocos Norte, 7-0, in the national finals.

This marks the first time the baseball team from Taguig City has competed in the Asia-Pacific regional competition.

The Taguig Little Generals team includes Craig Thurdee Bangayan, Ysaiah Brhyll Vlademir Lapag, Alexander Paul Legacion, Ergene Eliam Mojica, Markus Joachim Blanco, Cyrus Mendoza, Justine Yhiel Aguila, Angelus Gabriel Lopez, Timothy Kurt Rongavilla, John Gerry Ursua, Jarod Matthew Sepagan, Melbert Guillermo, John Paul Guillermo, and Takuma Matsumoto.

Their coaches are Rex Bangayan, Briggz Kenshin Bangayan, and Ramil Guillermo.

"The City of Taguig wishes the team success in the tournament and expressed confidence that the young athletes would proudly represent both the city and the Philippines on the international stage," stated the Taguig City Government.
