A Taguig local has shared her experience related to the exhumation and transfer of her deceased beloved who was buried at the Taguig City Public Cemetery.

According to her, as soon as she read the call from the CSWDO on Taguig.com about the mass exhumation at the said cemetery, she immediately arranged the remains of her relative and moved them to the Ossuary.

An Ossuary is a vault or box where the bones or skeletal remains of the deceased are placed.

Here is her statement:

"I'm already done. This was at the public cemetery at the far end called Serenity, right at the very edge. If you want to transfer your loved ones to the bone box, go to the CSWDO at the municipality on the first floor at the back end. Trace if their remains are still there. If they are and you want to relocate them you need to get an exhumation permit. They will ask you to request it from their health office behind the municipality for the exhumation permit, they are on the 3rd floor. After that, inquire about a bone box at the cemetery where you want to transfer the bones to see if there are available slots. Transferring to a bone box costs 8,000 pesos, everything included even the tombstone. It's good for a 5-year contract. After you pay that, go back to the CSWD and request a permit to pull out the bones, then proceed to the cemetery where you will transfer to the paid bone box. By the way, I paid 130 pesos for the exhumation permit. Hope this helps."
