Students from Senator Renato "CompaƱero" Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School in Taguig have proven their prowess not only in science and mathematics but also in arts.

The Teatro CompaƱero-Cayetano SciTech Theater Club claimed two first prizes as a group and one Best Performer Award at the International Science Drama Competition 2023 held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Their short film titled "Unseen" won first place in the Short Film Category. The student filmmakers include Wenriz Lorell Nad, Sharlene Mae Capilitan, Kian Santos, Roxynne Zyrra Lozada, Hyuga Palmes, Earl Jan Adam Santillan, Maria Victoria Margaret Tungala, Jeliasha, Kate Masayda, Avril Patricio, Vince Kristan Arcilla, Charles Navidad and Christopher Keith Bernido.

The film "Tick...Tick...Snap..." also garnered first prize in the Open Category, created by Charisse Macapagal, Christopher Keith Bernido, Keren Mae Rivera, Yhiezy Gwyneth Alamar, Lycah Mae Torres, Angelo Justine Zaraspe, Yeriel Gyan Pallada, Bong Jr. Zaraspe, Lindsey Santos, Zelden Mailliard Garay, Mia Juliana Managuelod, Marvey Cabarles, Avril Patricio, Wenriz Lorell Nad and Vince Kristan Arcilla.

Keren Mae Rivera was hailed as Outstanding Performer in the Open Category.

This annual event promotes science through drama. This year's theme was "Producing Green, Consuming Clean." It aims to encourage youth to voice issues of sustainability - the ability to maintain natural resources and other global needs - through the medium of arts and science.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano expressed immense delight at the achievements of the students from the Senator Renato "CompaƱero" Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School, stating that the Province of Taguig is extremely proud of their international competition success.
