The vape shops located in Barangay Santa Ana, Hagonoy, and Lower Bicutan were found in violation of the Comprehensive Smoke-Free Ordinance (City Ordinance No. 15, Series of 2017).

The closures were led by the Taguig Business Permits and Licensing Office.

The violations included not adhering to the perimeter requirement for selling, advertising, and promoting vape products as they were found to be within 100 meters of schools, public playgrounds, health facilities, and hospitals.

Moreover, it was discovered that these establishments had no valid business permits from the local government.

The city government said that operators of vape shops, along with all other businesses in Taguig, must undergo inspection by the Smoke Free Task Force before they can open for business.
