Tropical Storm Ramil, internationally known as Fengshen, is currently situated over Manila Bay based on the latest radar report from PAGASA at 10:00 AM.
The storm carries winds of 65 kilometres per hour near the center and gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour, moving at 15 kilometres per hour.
Signal Number 2 is now raised in Metro Manila, including Taguig, as well as other areas in the northern and central parts of Metro Manila (Caloocan City, Quezon City, City of Valenzuela, City of Marikina, City of Malabon, City of Navotas, City of Pasig, City of San Juan, City of Mandaluyong, City of Manila, City of Makati, Pateros, Pasay City, City of Parañaque).
The same is true in the following areas in Luzon:
Southeast Quirino (Nagtipunan, Maddela, Aglipay), central and southern Nueva Vizcaya (Alfonso Castañeda, Dupax del Sur, Dupax del Norte, Bambang, Aritao, Kayapa, Santa Fe, Kasibu), central and southern Benguet (Itogon, Bokod, Atok, Kapangan, Tublay, La Trinidad, Baguio City, Tuba, Sablan), central and southern La Union (Rosario, Pugo, Tubao, Santo Tomas, Agoo, Aringay, Caba, Naguilian, Burgos, Bagulin, Bauang, City of San Fernando, San Juan, San Gabriel, Bacnotan, Santol, Balaoan, Luna), Pangasinan, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales, the northern portion of Bataan (Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Morong, Pilar, City of Balanga), Rizal, northern Laguna (Santa Maria, Famy, Siniloan, Cavinti, Lumban, Paete, Kalayaan, Pakil, Pangil, Mabitac), and northern Quezon (General Nakar, Real, Infanta, Mauban, Perez, Alabat) including the Pollilo Islands.
This is the 20th typhoon since 1948 to directly hit the National Capital Region. The most recent typhoon that directly passed through Metro Manila was Typhoon Paeng in 2022.
