According to Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Cacdac, 12 other Filipino seafarers were injured and another one is missing.
As per the latest report on July 20, 2026, nine ships carrying Filipino seafarers were attacked either while sailing in the northern part of the Black Sea or docked at piers in southern Ukraine.

Meanwhile, four Filipino seafarers, who were part of the crew of the M/V GFS Galaxy that was intercepted and attacked while crossing the Strait of Hormuz on July 12, 2026, have safely returned to the country.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) stated that the seafarers arrived on Emirates Airlines Flight EK336 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 early Sunday, July 19.
The DMW is continuously coordinating with the manning agencies of the affected Filipinos to ensure they receive adequate assistance.
