Typhoon Danas is moving towards the northeast above the ocean of northern Luzon, according to a report from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 11:00 this morning.
The location of Typhoon Danas at 10:00 this morning was 460 kilometers west of Basco, Batanes.
The strongest winds it carries are at 75 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts reaching 90 kilometers per hour.
The scope of its strong winds is estimated to extend 330 kilometers from the center.
Large waves are also expected, reaching heights of up to 3 meters in the seas of Batanes and Ilocos Norte, as well as the Babuyan Islands in Cagayan.
Waves measuring up to 2.5 meters are expected in the northwest part of Ilocos Sur and the remaining parts of Ilocos Norte.
The seas of Zambales, Pangasinan and La Union can expect waves reaching up to 2 meters in height.
Typhoon Danas could potentially strengthen into a more severe storm within the next 24 hours.
