Typhoon Paolo intensified into a tropical storm as of 4:00 this morning.

The storm's center is located 705 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon.

The storm's maximum sustained winds are at 65 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts reaching up to 80 kilometers per hour.

The typhoon is moving at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour and the area of strong winds extends up to 250 kilometers from the center.

Signal Number 1 has been raised over the following areas:
Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, northern Zambales (Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria, Santa Cruz), Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Aurora, northern Bulacan (Doña Remedios Trinidad, San Miguel, San Ildefonso), northern Pampanga (Magalang, Arayat, Candaba, Mabalacat City), northern Quezon (General Nakar) including Polillo Islands, and northern Catanduanes (Pandan, Bagamanoc, Panganiban, Viga).

Typhoon Paolo is still expected to make landfall in Isabela or Northern Aurora tomorrow morning, October 3, 2025. The storm's path may also shift southwards depending on the strength of the high pressure area north of Typhoon Paolo.

Typhoon Paolo is likely to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning, October 4.

Heavy rainfall is expected in the following areas:

(>200 mm):
Cagayan and Isabela
(100-200 mm):
Quirino, Aurora, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan
(50-100 mm):
Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, and Bataan.
