The Taguig City Government launched a 120-day feeding program for malnourished children in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
The program specifically targets children aged five and below who are lacking nutrition, providing them with nutritious meals during "feeding sessions" every Monday and Friday.
Parents were also provided with a nutrition plan that meets the needs of their children.
Over the course of 120 days or four months, the child beneficiaries are expected to see a significant improvement in their health and nutritional status.
Each beneficiary received 10 eggs, 3.5 kilograms of rice, a bag of bread, and ingredients for cooking mung beans during the program's launch.
This initiative from Taguig has been ongoing since 2017 to ensure that children in Taguig are of the correct size and weight and are not lagging behind in their mental and physical capacities.
