Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano and city officials led the distribution on June 26, 2026, which involved around 500 parents and students at the Child Development Center (CDC) in the SS Brigade Covered Court, Barangay Western Bicutan.

The young students received free school and Physical Education uniforms, shoes, socks, school supplies, and hygiene kits.

Mayor Cayetano emphasized the crucial role of parents and guardians in helping children grow into good and capable individuals.

"What we are doing today goes beyond material possessions; our purpose today is deeper. More than uniforms, drawing supplies, writing materials, bags, toiletry kits, this is different from what we intend to achieve; what we want is to raise children not only to be skilled but also to be of sound character and good behavior. This behavior is still focused and attached to faith or belief," the mayor stated.

The distribution was conducted in all 156 Child Development Centers in the city, including the seven CDCs that attended the ceremonial distribution at the SS Brigade Covered Court.

An estimated 12,000 student beneficiaries are expected to benefit from the free school supplies and uniforms provided by the Taguig City Government.

The Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program is still accepting enrollees for the upcoming school year.
