Taguig residents, along with other visitors, have two days to taste foods from different parts of the Philippines at the Regional Food Fest headed by the City Government of Taguig on May 11 and 12, 2024 at the corner of Arca Boulevard and Interchange Road, Western Bicutan, Taguig City.

As part of the celebration for the 437th anniversary of the founding of Taguig, booths featuring food from various regions of the country will be set up at Arca Boulevard on May 11, from 4:00 in the afternoon until 9:00 in the evening, and on May 12, from 10:00 in the morning until 9:00 in the evening.

Items available for tasting and purchase include the longganisa from Ilocos, lechon from Cebu, and the palapa from Lanao del Sur.

The palapa is a sweet-spicy side dish of the Maranao people, which consists of chopped sakurab or white scallions, crushed ginger, turmeric, bird's eye chilli, and toasted shredded coconut.

This can also be used as a seasoning for cooking or as a salad dressing.
