The City Government of Taguig has allocated ₱900 million for this year's Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-Need (LANI) Scholarship to educate thousands of Taguig scholars.

According to records last December 2024, the city government has already provided education to around 123,000 individuals through allowances. The Taguig Scholarship Program has also produced 4,546 licensed professionals, including 1,528 engineers, 1,008 professional teachers, 511 nurses, 69 lawyers, 61 medical doctors, among others.

Last Wednesday, February 5, 2025, the scholars of Taguig received their allowances on the sixth day of distribution at the Taguig City University Auditorium.

Over 2,400 scholars received their allowances to alleviate their educational expenses.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano stated that the city government aims to continuously educate the youth, especially those who strive to finish their studies. "In the City of Taguig, we want every family member to be able to study. That is the design of our scholarship program - open to everyone who wants to study. I always say: When we invest in education, we are actually investing in the city's strong foundation. There is no loss when you invest in education," said Cayetano.

From a ₱750 million budget in 2022, the budget for the Taguig Scholarship program increased to ₱800 million in 2023, ₱850 million in 2024, and this 2025, it has reached ₱900 million.
