The yet to be named Filipino was found hanged around 5:00 pm on Monday.

Officials from Wichit Police Station, including forensic specialists and a doctor, climbed aboard the tanker around 6:35 pm to conduct a preliminary examination.
The Filipino seafarer was still in uniform when found hanged. There were no other marks of injury or struggle on the victim. There were also no signs of forced entry into his quarters.
The remains of the Filipino have been transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for autopsy.
